This design was based on a traditional "swivel breech" matchlock pistol from 16th-century Japan — a .30 caliber triple barrel revolver to be precise. Modeling the pistol in Blender, the project took roughly 12 hours to complete. Altogether, I thoroughly enjoyed the process of matching the textures and surface lighting to the real-life pistol.
